Information we collect

When you place an order or interact with the site, we may collect:

• Contact and shipping details you enter at checkout (name, email, shipping address, phone).
• Order information (the product purchased and amount paid). Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored on our servers.
• Basic first-party site analytics — pages viewed, approximate device/browser/OS, referring site, and events such as reaching checkout — tied to a first-party cookie, used only for our own internal reporting. This is never shared with Meta or any other third party and is not used for advertising.
• Data collected through the Meta Pixel to measure and improve our ads (see "Cookies & advertising" below).

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Process, ship, and support your order.
• Send order and shipping confirmations.
• Measure the performance of our advertising and improve the site.
• Reach people similar to our customers with ads (see “Cookies & advertising” below).
• Comply with legal and tax obligations.

Cookies & advertising

We use cookies and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to understand how visitors reach and use the site and to measure ad performance. We also share a limited set of your order details — email, name, and shipping city/state/ZIP/country — with Meta in cryptographically hashed (SHA-256) form, never in plain text. Meta uses this to match you to your ad account, measure which ads led to a purchase, and build “lookalike” audiences of people with similar characteristics. This never leaves the browser unhashed, and it is never sent to our payment provider (Whop), which is only ever given a routing address unrelated to your identity for processing the charge — see “Sharing” below.

Sharing

We share information only with the providers needed to run the store, and only as needed to perform those services:

• Our payment/checkout processor (Whop), to charge and process your order. To protect your inbox from third-party marketing lists, the email address associated with the payment record is one we control, not the address you enter on this site — your typed email is used only for our own order communication.
• Shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
• Meta, for advertising measurement and lookalike audiences.

Your rights (EEA & UK — GDPR / UK GDPR)

We currently operate this store in the US and don’t target or market to the EEA or UK. If you’re located there and reach this site anyway, our legal bases are: contract (processing your order) and legitimate interest (basic site analytics, fraud prevention, advertising measurement). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Email hello@latchgear.shop and we’ll honor any of these requests, including opting you out of advertising measurement.

Your rights (California — CCPA / CPRA)

If you’re a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction of it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — which, under California law, includes the hashed data we send Meta for ad measurement and lookalike audiences described above. We do not sell personal information for money, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
